so far today has been fabulous! It started off a little rocky. Little Miss didn't sleep well last night so I didn't sleep well. When I say she didn't sleep well don't think it's because she didn't sleep. She slept all night, but whimpered, whined, tossed and turned all night. Not to mention she didn't go down for the night until right around midnight. I ended up putting her in the crib for the night so we didn't keep waking Ryan up. I slept on the sofa and got up about once an hour to check on her because she was crying. Turns out she cries in her sleep and it sounds exactly as if she were awake (just another infant trick I'm learning along the way).
Anyway, we made it to the mom's group on time and in good spirits. She managed to smile at the mom/baby next to us and even talk a little she stayed up for about 40 minutes and slept the rest of the time. Got her home, fed her and she went back down for a nap. I managed to make lunch for myself and eat it while it was still hot. I even got some housework done and a nap! A big bonus - our noisiest bird has been quiet all afternoon!
Most of the time when we take her somewhere for a few hours it throws off the rest of the day. Not today. She woke up, ate, played and is back down for another nap. The birds are still quiet and the dogs are very well behaved.
It almost seems a little too good to be true, but I'll take it. And, I'll tuck it away so the next time things aren't near as smooth I will remember it's possible : )
