She's officially a walkie/talkie little person

Busybel is now a walker. She doesn't walk literally full-time, but most of the time. Crawling is still the fastest, most reliable transportation around, but walking is a close second. She gets better at it every day and goes a bit farther than the day before. Pretty much all of her falls have been on her butt, so no major injuries or tears yet. We have a few more inches of growth to go before we have to remove more stuff that will soon be within her reach. She laughs and smiles a lot while she walks so I'd say she likes it. We are amazed by her talent and the fact that babies learn so much in just one year.

Busybel is also "talking" up a storm these days. She has words for "cheese" and "Stuey" and fully says "pssstt." While my mom was watching her today she said "Hi!" to Emory, the big dog. I missed it but my mom swears it was "Hi" and not something that sounded like "Hi." She also points to owies, her nose and tries the finger moves to "itsy bitsy spider." These things are all at my mom's house. I've been trying to get Isabel to touch her nose for quite some time and can't seem to persuade her, but she'll do it for my mom. And, after 7 months of signing "food," she finally signed it back to me! She's signed "food" three times now in about 2 weeks, but it's a start and I'm thrilled.
