Bummer

Our big trip to Vegas at the end of the month is cancelled. Isabelle decided on Tuesday to cancel their trip here due to the volcano in Iceland. So, we won't get to see her for an even longer while. Who knows how old Isabel will be when she finally meets Isabelle. That was going to be one of the highlights of the trip. Isabelle and Guy are able to cancel most of their trip and get refunds. They'll still get married - this time on May 15 in Belgium. She thinks they might try again for Vegas at some point for a vow renewal or maybe just a vacation.
Fortunately, Ryan & I were able to cancel all our of travel plans except for the plane tickets. We cancelled our flight, but we have to use the tickets within a year. But, we don't have to go to Vegas. We're probably going to Seattle instead. We were more than happy to head to Vegas, but that wouldn't have been our first choice for Isabel's first "vacation." Seattle will be a nice break from the Sacramento heat. We'll also be able to swing by the Burke Museum : )
