The Open House

The Children's Center had their open house last Friday so we went to check it all out. We had met her teacher, Katie, the Wednesday before, so we had seen the room and know a little about what to expect. But, this was the first time Isabel would have a chance to check it out before we dropped her off. The open house was a success! We stayed for about 2 hours and she played and played. She played inside, she played outside, and she played in the sand box. Of course everything was so new that she barely noticed Ryan and I even existed. That have a good handful of outdoor toys with wheels, like these -

She took turns with both. The good news is she liked each of them. That bad news is the little mower got away from her and she landed right on her face : ) But, she only cried for maybe a minute, shook it off and was ready to play again.

She played in the sandbox, and learned where to wipe off dirty hands

I'd say the day was a success. We both like her teachers and she seemed to really be okay with being there.
